My sister bought The Return of Sherlock Holmes and His Last Bow and I decided to re-read The Return. It feels so freaking odd that the two men call each other by their last names, now that I’ve seen them calling each other Sherlock and John in “Sherlock”. And then I started to wonder why Doyle made them to do so.
They’re best friends and they call each other by last name....
